The Sleepa

Kevin’s 2008 Toyota Yaris, known as The Sleepa, is proof that serious output does not need a full-size platform.

His car-audio story started at 14 and grew into a real passion for building louder, cleaner, more capable systems. The Yaris began as a build from a previous owner, but over the last four years Kevin has transformed it into his own B2-powered hatchback, built with purpose from the electrical forward.

At the center of the system are four B2 Audio RAGE XL 12s on a DC Audio 20K, backed by a 150Ah Pitbull lithium bank, a 320-amp Autotech alternator, and a 15.7-volt electrical system. The ported enclosure uses dual 8-inch Euro ports and is tuned to 35 Hz for the kind of low-end that turns a compact hatch into a full experience.

The front stage is just as serious. Two B2 Audio 2300 four-channel amplifiers power the door and high-frequency setup, including four 8-inch B2 RAGE speakers in each door, four P4 tweeters, and two H1 neos. A compact DC Audio four-channel amplifier runs the 3-inch B2 Audio speakers and tweeters in the custom dash pods.

The Sleepa is still evolving, but the foundation is already clear: a small car, a dedicated builder, and a system built to hit hard.
